Last night, I got the honor to try and drive probably the most powerful car I’ll get to drive in a long time. The car itself wasn’t hard to drive at all, until you give it some gas. The acceleration? Simply breathtaking. It is a beast! Full throttle was achieved once, and a lot of giggling ensued! Love having friends with fast cars!

It isn’t. I definitely wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to drive one. I just always get that strong desire to look at C6 Corvettes but then the instant I see the interior I realize why I couldn’t live with it every day. And also because I don’t want to scream ‘Murica everywhere I go.

I've driven a C6 pretty extensively and it's crazy how much fun they are. The interior is truly horrific though lol.

It’s not a luxury car you fucking people. It’s intended to be somewhat decent and nowadays closer to luxury but I have no clue what you expect. Have you sat in a lotus for fuck’s sake? How about a viper?

Stop spewing out what the media tells you to and have your own opinions based on what the car is intended to be.

Want to talk about shit interiors? Go drive an elise. The interior is 100% junk. Does it detract from the car? No. Because the car isn’t intended to have any level of a decent interior.

Be glad the vette has even the interior it does.

Thank you so much for this. The interior is perfectly fine for a car of that period. I've never had anyone bitch about my interior after they got a ride from me.

That’s what I hear! And the exterior does look pretty good in black or grey. The interior is where I’ll be spending 90% of my time and I can’t accept that I have to subject myself to that every day.

hahah trust me, two 17 year olds in a 700hp 3300lb rocket is a scary-fun combo. I gotta say though, at no point did i feel the urge to punch it hard around town though. maybe it’s because it’s so powerful, but you feel like the king of the road, even when you’re getting passed by sonatas from a light.

it’s definitely not a $100,000 car worthy interior IMO, but it’s not unbearably bad. the seats (the important bit) are great!

A Mercedes S600 with the Designo interior package. Literally no plastic in the interior other than buttons and the door pull grab handles.

And I’m not mocking the C6. It’s one of the best cars I’ve ever driven and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to own one.

That interior is fucking gorgeous! But that was also a $150k+ car when new. It’s hardly fair to compare it to something that only cost $50k new. Sounds like you get it tho. At 50k the c6 was hitting way above its price point on everything but interior plastics.

Fair enough. Here is the thing about old dudes in corvettes tho: a lot of them had a Vette when they were younger and a lot of those guys have always had a Vette. I bought my first one at 25.

oh no, the owner's in his late 20's, but he's really good buddies with my friend, and just casually tosses him the keys to his vette couple of times a month, and the trickle-down effect leads to me as well I guess
